Yesterday, Congresswoman Nancy Mace, newly elected Representative for South Carolina’s 1st District, visited the Chamber’s offices and discussed business community priorities with members of the Chamber’s Board of Directors. Topics discussed include the economic impact of the region’s military installations, the importance of Marine graduations to the region’s hospitality sector, infrastructure needs regionwide, and the ongoing challenges faces by many small businesses due to the pandemic.

After her meeting at the Chamber, Rep. Mace toured MCRD Parris Island for an in-depth briefing on the installation and its missions. Later in the day, she announced the filing of the Parris Island Protection Act.
