Save the date for the 25th Annual Beaufort Shrimp Festival, produced by the Beaufort Regional Chamber of Commerce.
Locals and visitors alike will gather for the two-day celebration at the Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park on Friday, October 4 and Saturday, October 5. This Lowcountry heritage event features local coastal cuisine, live music, and more!
Highlights of the festival include:
- Friday evening concert in the park featuring live entertainment
- Saturday’s Run Forrest Run 5k Bridge Run/Walk over the Woods Memorial Bridge
- Grab-and-Go fresh shrimp market so you can create your own SC wild-caught shrimp dishes at home
- 11th annual Sea Island Rotary Club Adopt-a-Shrimp Race benefitting Sea Island Rotary Smile Mobile and other local charities
- An arts & crafts market with local and handmade wares

The 11th annual Sea Island Rotary Club Adopt-a-Shrimp race will take place Saturday, October 5 at approximately 3 p.m.
The proceeds of the Shrimp Race will help fund the Sea Island Rotary Smile Mobile, which is a dental outreach program serving those 200% below the poverty level in the low country, and local charities including Uniform Projects, High School Scholarship Fund, CAPA, Hopeful Horizons, USCB Scholarship Fund, etc.
Beaufort’s Shrimp Festival is a heritage event that celebrates Lowcountry cuisine. Participating local restaurants prepare samples of Lowcountry dishes featuring South Carolina wild-caught shrimp. Prizes are awarded for “best recipe” and “most creative recipe” honors.

The 2019 Beaufort Shrimp Festival officially commences with a party in the park that you don’t want to miss!
Friday night concert in the park features Deas Guyz! You’ll enjoy an entertaining mix of Old Motown, Jazz Standards, Rhythm and Blues, Country, Pop, Rock, Reggae and Dance beats. For the last 10 years the band has been packing the house Sunday nights at the Jazz Corner on Hilton Head Island, S.C., Where Reggie and the fellas have continued to entertain the audience. With the popularity of the group growing it has lead them to performances across the state of South Carolina as well as several Venues in Georgia, Florida and North Carolina.

Run Forrest Run 5k Bridge Run/Walk
Join in on the fun Saturday, October 5 at the festival’s annual 5k, the Run, Forrest, Run Bridge Run/Walk. This USTAF certified course takes you through historic downtown Beaufort and over the famous Woods Memorial Bridge. Don’t miss your chance to take your picture with Forrest Gump at the start/finish line!
The morning kicks off with a group warm-up led by Balance Boutique Fitness, the race begins at 8 a.m. Little ones (7 and under) can take part in the Popcorn Shrimp run at 8:45 am.
