One of the key drivers in economic development is workforce.
Are employees trained and trainable? How are the overall soft skills in a market? How do the schools rate? Businesses looking to come to the area ask these questions. Existing businesses want to know how to build their workforce.
The Chamber’s education and workforce initiatives are set by the Education/Workforce committee. Additionally, the Chamber works closely with the public and private schools as well as the local colleges to improve the skills and performance of the area’s workforce.
