We had a very informative Military Quarterly Briefing this morning. We heard updates from Beaufort’s three military installations. Sgt. Andrew Haubner of Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, and his wife, Cassandra, were announced and recognized as being the Military Family of the Quarter. The Haubners spend the majority of their personal time volunteering as Youth Directors at Decibel Church. The couple recently spent 10 days of their vacation time serving and ministering to children at Crossroads Summer Camp in Anderson, SC. Sgt. Haubner is also a member of the H&S BN Color Guard which takes up an additional amount of his personal time. The Haubners truly have servant’s hearts, and are terrific examples of young leaders in our community. Congratulations to the Military Family of the Quarter on this well-deserved award. We are proud to live and work amongst so many wonderful military leaders in Beaufort.

If you have not already done so, we ask you to please take a quick moment to ‘give us your two cents’ by clicking on this survey link and answering three short questions on the upcoming Penny Tax referendum. We greatly value your input as it sets the Chamber’s local, state and federal legislative agendas.

All the best,

Blakely Williams, President & CEO
