It’s hard to believe that just 8 months ago, we were all evacuated from our homes as Hurricane Matthew made its way up the coast. The hurricane impacted each and every one of us in some way or another. The Beaufort region was very fortunate that the outcome wasn’t worse. NOW is the time to prepare for 2017! We hope you will join us tomorrow morning for our Emergency Preparedness Expo. Please come and learn how to better prepare your family, home and business for an emergency situation. NOAA Lead Meteorologist Blair Holloway, WTOC Chief Meteorologist John Wetherbee, and officials from Beaufort County Emergency Management will give us important information and tips to help prepare for the 2017 Hurricane Season. Coffee and breakfast will be provided.
In addition, we hope you will join us next Wednesday, June 21 for the Governor’s Main Street Business Luncheon. Governor McMaster issued an Executive Order in April for his cabinet agencies to cut regulations that hurt business, and he wants to know your thoughts. Join the Beaufort Regional Chamber of Commerce and Governor McMaster for a discussion on business in South Carolina and a Q&A session about what regulations are encumbering your businesses. Lunch will be provided for all guests. Please register by June 15 by clicking here or emailing Carolyn Rennix at Carolyn@BeaufortSC.org.
And, be sure to stop by Kalon & Company this Friday morning at 8:30 a.m.for Coffee with Colleagues! There will be great networking, coffee, pastries, and OneBlood will also be there doing a blood drive. See you there!
All The Best,
