What a couple of weeks it has been! Hurricane Matthew certainly gave us his best shot. But our community has proven its strength and camaraderie despite the many challenges which presented themselves. We are grateful to the many leaders and first responders who helped our community get back on its feet as quickly as possible. It has been particularly special to see so many neighbors helping neighbors and lending a hand to those in need. We invite you to share your “feel good” stories with us.

We hope you and your businesses are recovering well from the storm. Remember that we are here to help you. Please let us know of any outstanding troubles you are facing, and we will be glad to assist you as best we can. We will be hosting a Beaufort Gets Back To Business discussion on Wednesday, October 26 at 8:30 a.m. at the Chamber offices. You are invited to join us to learn more about the impact of insurance costs going forward and how to maximize insurance payments for storm-related damage.

With Election Day only three weeks away, we hope to see you at the Candidates Forum TONIGHT at 6:00 p.m. at the USCB Performing Arts Center. Please be sure to join us for this important event in order to learn more about the candidates running for local office and where they stand on the issues facing our community. We encourage you to be informed and engaged in preparation for November 8th.
All The Best,

Blakely Williams
