As you know, our three military bases in Beaufort County play an important role in our nation’s defense. They are also an important part of the fabric of this community and generate $1.498 billion dollars into our local economy each year.

Tomorrow morning, February 1, we will be celebrating our local military at the 2017 State of the Bases Breakfast, where we will hear from representatives from Naval Hospital Beaufort, Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort, and Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island as well as the South Carolina Military Base Task Force. We are thrilled to have Capt. Jeffrey N. Korsnes (Naval Hospital Beaufort), Col. Peter Buck (MCAS Beaufort), and Col. James Stone (MCRD Parris Island) as our featured speakers.

We are also proud to announce and present the Military Family of the Quarter with a special honor for going above and beyond the call of duty to serve our country and this community.

The breakfast will kickoff at 8:00 a.m. at the Beaufort Holiday Inn & Suites. We hope to see you there for this special event!

All The Best,

Blakely Williams
