Military Affairs CommitteeF-35

The Military Affairs Committee’s mission is to support activities that protect and enhance the military installations in Beaufort County, and improve the quality of life of military families in the region.

Military Enhancement CommitteeMEC

The Military Enhancement Committee (MEC) is a board housed under the Beaufort Regional Chamber of Commerce to address military issues at the local, state and federal level to encourage protection and enhancement of all three military installations in the Beaufort area.  The MEC champions the community and its bases during the BRAC process and works to enhance the bases.

Tourism, Travel & Convention Division Advisory CommitteeTourism

The TTCD Advisory Committee (TAC) oversees the Division in their effort to increase overnight leisure visits in northern Beaufort County.  The TTCD is responsible for the development of tourism, travel and conventions through appropriate state, national and international advertising and promotion.  The committee works to develop and promote Beaufort, Port Royal and the Sea Islands as a year-round destination of choice for those interested in authentic experiences and visitors attracted by events, cultural diversity and warm hospitality.  Click here for more information on the Committee.

Economic Workforce Development CommitteeEconomic Workforce

The committee’s primary role is to determine the optimum ways through which the Chamber can support and enhance ongoing economic development initiatives. The committee is further charged with investigating and evaluating ways through which existing Chamber functions or departments can be leveraged to enhance the region’s economic development.
