I hope you enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday with your family and friends.  For those who traveled this holiday, you know just how dangerous our roads and bridges in South Carolina have become.  But together, we can work to make our roads better and safer.

The Chamber is joining many others around the state in taking on a petition campaign to inform our state leaders that we support action on fixing our deteriorating infrastructure system this legislative session. By signing the Petition to Fix SC Roads, you will let elected officials know you support a sustainable and recurring infrastructure bill. Use #FixSCRoads in your social media posts to help us share the message.

Thank you to all of you who supported our local businesses and participated in this year’s Small Business Saturday event.  It was wonderful to see so many people dining, shopping, and spending local.   Each year,  I am encouraged to see this national movement gaining more momentum in our community.
This weekend, as we celebrate the holidays in Beaufort style, kicking off with a Night on the Town, I encourage you to continue to support our friends and neighbors by shopping local.   If you are able, please pick up an extra gift for a child in need and drop it off in the Chamber’s Toys for Tots donation box, located at our office – 701 Craven Street.   We have plenty of Dine, Shop, Spend Local posters at our office so come by and pick one up for your office.

I hope you will join us for Beaufort Networking on Thursday morning as we hear from Bluffton Town Manager, Marc Orlando.

All the best,
